Ranau Lake is the largest lake in beautiful southern Sumatra. This vast lake of about 8x16 km2 with Mount Seminung background and surrounded by hills and valleys with lake water is very clear.
Ranau Lake is the result of natural processes in the form of earthquakes and volcanic eruptions of the mountain which makes a big basin. The curvature of the river water flowed across the Mount Seminung. At the foot of Mount Seminung are natural hot water coming out from the bottom of the lake. In the vicinity of the lake found Subik waterfalls.
