Bali offers visitors limitless culinary options, from budget local dishes at the traditional Warungs to award-winning restaurants which by themselves make the trip to Bali more than worth it.

Traditional Food:

There are numerous options when it comes to traditional food, from the super-cheap Warungs to the more pricey restaurants. A typical Balinese delicacy found at most restaurants serving local dishes is nasi goreng (fried rice) typically spiced with tamarind and chilli and including other ingredients, particularly chicken or prawn. Another popular choice is Be Sampi Mebase Bali (Braised Beef in Coconut Milk).

Balinese desserts include Wajik (Rice Flour Cake with Palm Sugar) and Bubuh Injin (Black Rice Pudding).

International Dishes:

Bali has numerous restaurants serving relatively expensive Mediterranean, Italian, Indian and other international foods.

One of the most renowned is Ku De Ta, situated in Seminyak, and serving dishes such as seafood risotto, kingklip, various roasts and many other dishes.

The restaurant has a fantastic view over the Indian Ocean, and many patrons simply come to Ku De Ta to lounge on the deck-chairs and sip on a cocktail.
